Maria's Journey
Maria arrived at Casa de Esperanza at just 2 years old. Today she's a curious, bright girl who loves to read and dreams of becoming a teacher.
Casa de Esperanza provides 12 children — from newborns to 18-year-olds — with a safe home, loving care, an education, and a future they deserve. Your gift changes everything.
100% goes directly to the children
Our Family Home
Santo Domingo, DR
We believe every child deserves to grow up loved, safe, and full of possibility. Casa de Esperanza is a home — not an institution — where children from infancy through young adulthood receive everything they need to thrive.
A warm, stable home environment where every child is known by name, not a number.
We fund school enrollment, uniforms, supplies, and tutoring so no child falls behind.
Regular medical care, dental visits, and three nutritious meals every single day.
Vocational training and transition support for older teens entering adulthood.
Every dollar is put to work immediately. Here's exactly what your generosity provides for a child at Casa de Esperanza.

Carlos is passionate about computers and technology. With supporter help, he recently received his first laptop and is learning to code.
The youngest member of our family, Sofia came to us as a newborn. She is thriving, healthy, and already filling our home with joy and laughter.
Behind every child at Casa de Esperanza who opens a textbook, sits in a classroom, or earns their first school certificate stands an extraordinary legacy of generosity — that of Jacques, a Kelowna, BC community leader whose love for the people of the Dominican Republic transformed lives far from home.
Jacques founded his education foundation after witnessing firsthand the educational barriers facing children in Santo Domingo. Moved to action, he built a lasting institution dedicated to funding school fees, supplies, teacher resources, and classroom learning — and he chose Casa de Esperanza as a core partner.
"Every child who learns to read holds the key to their own future. Our only job is to make sure they get the chance."

These children did not choose their circumstances. But we can choose to change their story. Every single donation — no matter the size — adds a brick to the foundation of a child's future.
